Patent Prosecution
The patent prosecution team prosecutes patent applications with a focus on global applications. We work with clients on enforceable patents both in the US and around the world. We also work with clients for building their patent portfolio. We prosecute patents based on case law.

International Commercial Transactions
Ishimaru & Associates’ international transaction team focuses on law in East Asia, with emphasis on key Chinese-speaking regions, including the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. (Please see our monthly China Bulletin for recent updates.) We provide same time-zone legal support to U.S. companies managing business and operations in East Asia.

We also provide services through the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for reexamination, post-issuance review (when made available by the USPTO), and supplemental examination (when made available by the USPTO).
We have provided litigation management and strategic counseling in numerous multi-million dollar litigations. Members have managed litigations that are now reference cases often cited in other patent litigation and by the USPTO.
U.S. Transactions
The transaction team provides licensing, business formation, and leasing services. We help our clients with negotiating and drafting contracts and licensing agreements. We have been involved in multi-billion dollar business and multi-million dollar licensing and technology transactions.
